Is there any hope for a remake to come on Steam?

Bug: In the Orc Cave. Where you fight the ogre; it spawns 2 mobs(one with the ogre). The fight with the ogre was going badly so I reloaded and since that reload the mobs that spawn are basic orcs. No ogre in either of them. 

I was able to spawn the prison key, but there is no item index for the ogre's head...

Sorry to hear that. Strange that this happened. Maybe there is a third mob somewhere hidden?

The item index for the ogre head is 268.

I have a doubt. 

What are the episodes? 

Are them like separete acts or its all in the same main campaign?

I'm loving the game. I'm a big fan of Thalion RPG's, keep the good work.

Basically each episode adds new content to the game. I am a single person and developing such large expansion needs years to finalize. So I decided to release content in episodes. It still is one main campaign but at certain points you get a notification that new content might be added to the area you are about to go.

Or maybe not one main campaign because new content is mostly optional. Especially the new quests and dungeons. But they are fun and you get cool rewards.

There are also new spells, items and changes to the game mechanics like curse effects, element damage bonus and so on.

Hm can you try to update to a more recent glfw version like 3.4? I guess 3.4 is required for the current game version.

Currently it is open for testers as a beta version. You could join if you want. All you need is a playstore account and to send the associated email to me. I can activate you then.

Looking forward to the Android version too! Windows has tons of great classic dungeon crawlers, while Android has almost none, so you will do a big thing if you transfer it to Android.

Hello, I'm very much enjoying the game. I'm currently running it on Windows 10 but can't get it to run fullsreen (my screen res is 2560x1440). Is there something I'm missing? I'd love to be able to play it in full screen.

thanks for the nice feedback. What exactly is happening when you try to use the fullscreen option? Is it disabled? Is it just not doing anything?

I will look into it but I need to know the faulty behavior. In general this just works. But maybe it is related to your high resolution.

Hello. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I tweaked the cfg file a little bit (it was set to fullscreen: false, for whatever reason) and fullscreen works perfectly now. In retrospect, I should have thought of that solution earlier. Thanks again for your quick reply : )

I am glad it worked. Usually you can quickly switch with F11 key.

Hello, I am trying to run the game on Windows 10, it gives a black screen, I cannot understand what the problem is, do you have any information?

Hi. Does it crash or is the black screen staying forever? You can try to start the game from the command line, maybe there is some error output then. There also might be some error text file created next to the main executable.

When the game is opened, it gives a black screen forever and as you said, it creates a text file. I don't know how to open it with a script, but I will try.

Mac Mini M2 Sonama 14.5
Any in game options that I change like Music On/Off, Screen Resolution are not being saved, I have to redo the Options on each game bootup ?

Normally it is saved in a config file. I assume that some permission issues again hinder the game to save the file with your settings. I am not that familiar with Macs. On Windows I would suggest to run the game as an administrator.

Sadly the game does not run on the Mac Mini M2 Sonoma 14.5, I get the choose language screen click OK then nothing it just shuts down.

Hi can you try to move the application to your Programs folder? Some users had similar issues and could resolve it this way. I think it has to do something with the user privileges for the containing folder etc.

Many thanks for the reply yes the game works once the program is in the Applications folder but. On booting the game and watching the intro as the intro finishes the game crashes. If I skip the intro at the game bootup and get to the Start New Game screen the game seems to run OK, also if you choose the Watch Intro option on the main screen all is OK.

I have a report file and it is quite large, I will mail it to you.
Nothing showed up in Terminal on app closure.

Tried to investigate this based on your provided logs. It seems like there is some OpenGL issue. Maybe some random driver issue? Could you reproduce this? What happens directly before the crash?

Hi there, like the post underneath this one, Bit Defender has quarantined that file and won't let me continue. I'm not too keen on disabling my anti-virus software to install this, but I'm also really keen to play it! Is this detection a known false-positive?

It is. Mostly because the patcher needs to download and write updates. You can download the zipped version and only extract everything but the patcher. Should work but won’t get updates automatically.

ich habe die Dateien für Windows64 heruntergeladen.

Mein Antiviren Programm Bit Defender hat die Dateien in Quarantäne gestellt.

Die AmbermonnPatcher.exe wäre mit Gen:Variant.Ser.Tedy.6095 infiziert.

Ist das bekannt?

Hi wenn du die Dateien von hier runtergeladen hast, kann ich dir versichern, dass da kein Virus enthalten ist. Manchmal verwechseln die Virenscanner normale Programme mit Viren. Vermutlich weil der Patcher Dateien aus dem Internet runterlädt, speichert und sogar ausführt. Aber das lässt sich bei einem Patcher halt nicht vermeiden.

Wenn du dem ganzen nicht traust sollte das Spiel auch ohne den Patcher laufen. Du musst dann halt manuell aktualisieren von Zeit zu Zeit.

habe eben grade mit dem Updater auf Version 1.9.0 aktualisiert.
Unglücklicherweise sind meine Speicherstände nun alle weg.
Gibt es einen Weg wieder zurück in meine alten Spielstände zu kommen oder bin ich angeschmiert und muss alles noch mal von Anfang an starten?
Bin grade auf dem Weg zur Insel von Mera gewesen.

Die sind mit Sicherheit noch da. Wahrscheinlich findet das Spiel sie nur nicht.

Welches Betriebssystem nutzt du? Mach auf jeden Fall mal ein Backup vom Saves Ordner falls der da ist.

Sind alle Speicherslots weg oder nur die ab dem 11. Slot?

Also eigentlich habe ich keinen Code verändert, der was mit den Spielständen macht. Dass die durch das Update fehlen ist merkwürdig. Bislang hat das noch niemand sonst berichtet.

Kann es sein, dass eine Antiviren-Software deine Spielstände in Quarantäne gepackt hat oder sowas?

Danke für deine rasche Antwort und sorry für meine späte. ;-)
OS ist Windows 11.
Quarantäne ist leer und es wird wohl auch nichts geblockt.

Speicherstände sind alle zuletzt verwendeten weg, bis auf ein BackUp und ein Advanved Spielstand. Diese werden allerdings nicht mehr geladen.

Ich spiele die Original Version.

Heute morgen bevor ich zur Arbeit bin schaute ich mal kurz in meinen Explorer:
In der Suche fand ich einen Ordner "Amberstar" mit einem Savefile das im Editor die vermissten Spielstände anzeigt. -> BackUp File davon hab ich erstellt.
Allerdings scheint dieser Ordner nicht da zu sein wo er hingehört, weil die 2 Spielstände die angezeigt aber nicht mehr geladen werden (diese brauche ich allerdings auch nicht wirklich mehr) darin fehlen.

Heute Abend kann ich noch mal intensiver nachschauen und ggf. Screenshots oder Kopien bereitstellen.

Kurz noch wie es gestern dazu kam:
Einige Minuten im Spiel, dann mit "Alt" und "Tab" raus um was zu schauen -> da kam das Fenster mit der Meldung, dass Ambermoon ein Update hat, ich es aber mit Adminrechten neu starten muss. Das Spiel war autom. geschlossen. Mit Adminrechten Ambermoon gestartet, das Update 1.8.8. auf 1.9.0 installierte anstandslos, nur die Saves waren weg.
Ob ich nun mit oder ohne Adminrechte starte hat keinen Effekt.

Ok, Danke dir soweit schon mal für deinen Support, ich melde mich aller Voraussicht nach heute Abend wieder.
