Patch 1.8.4 fixes in issue with savegames. Note that this might lead to disappearing savegames if you saved games in slots 11 to 30 with versions 1.8.2 or 1.8.3. But don’t worry the savegames are not lost. Please backup your configuration file “ambermoon.cfg” before you proceed and make sure the game is not running.

Then open this file “ambermoon.cfg” with a text editor like Notepad++. Search for “AdditionalSavegameSlots”. Below that you will see blocks starting with things like “GameVersionName”: “german”.

For every game version there is such a block: “german”, “english”, “french”, “advanced_german” and “advanced_english”.

The mentioned issue stored the savegame names in the wrong block so please locate your savegame names and copy them to the right block. For example they are in “advanced_english” but you played “advanced_german” than copy the values below “Names” over.

Ensure that the brackets and commas stay the same and that there are exaclty 20 entries below “Names” like before.
